더이상은 견딜수 없는 형국의 북한 실상이 어떻다는것을, 북외교관이 제 3국으로 탈출함으로서, 확실히 증명이 된 셈이다. 아직 한국정부는 함구 하고 있지만, 북한 독재체제의 존재여부도 이제는 시간 문제가 아닐까 생각된다.
며칠전 약 20 여년전에 읽었던, 정동규씨의 "The Three Day Promise"을 재탕 읽었었다. 두번째 읽을때는 첫번째 읽을때에 못느꼈던 감정까지 느낄수 있어, 당사자가 아닌 내 자신도, 국방의무를 완수 했다는 점에서, 그분뿐만이 아니고 Fratricide로 죄없는 무고한 한민족의 상당수가, 인간이기를 포기한 한 독재자가족때문에 아까운 목숨을 잃고, 현재도 은둔의 왕국속에서 허덕이는 그모습들을 연상하면서, 가슴을 울먹인것이다.
런던주재 북한 대사관에서 무려 10년 넘게 근무한 외교관 가족이 몇달전 탈출하여 현재 제 3국에 머물면서 새로운 삶을 찾아 헤매고 있다는 뉴스는 과히 충격적이면서도, 북한내의 모든것들이 이제는 Maxed out된것이라는 직감이 스쳤다.
그들의 체제에서 10년넘게, 그것도 서방세계의 첨단을 달리고 있는 영국에서 탈출했다는것은, 그자신을 비롯한 가족들이, 바보가 아닌이상, 서방세계와 북한내부의 삶에 어찌 비교를 안해볼리가 있었겠는가? 아무리 큰 건물이라 해도 주춧돌(Corner Stone)하나가 빠지거나 부서지면, 무너지게 돼 있다. 그원리가 지금 북한체제에 매일매일 적용되고 있다는것을 북한내부의 실세들도 뼈저리게 느끼고 있다는 증거다. 종말의 서막이 힘차게 울리고 있다고 본다.
어쨋던 그가족들이 무사히 그들 마수의 net에서 완전히 벗어나, 자유로운 삶을 새로운 세계에서 맛보면서 살아가기를 진심으로 기원한다. 오늘 뉴스에 보면, 몇달전 중국의 북한 식당에서 탈출하여 한국으로 달려온 새로운 식구들이 드디어 사회생활을 할수 있도록, 모든 보호조치속에서, 새삶을 꾸렸다는 기쁜 소식이었다.
이런데도 얼간이 종북 정치꾼들과 정신못차린 일부 국민들이 갈길을 못찾고 헤매고 있다는 뉴스는 나를 무척 슬프게 만든다. 북한체제의 핵심인물들이거나, 그가족들이 탈출하는것을 보면서, 왜 북한체제를 찬양하거나 눈도장 찍기위한 충성(?)을 멈추지 못하는가? 6/25때 이북의 앞잡이 노릇하면서, 숫한 국민들을 괴롭히거나 사살하는데 앞장섯던, 그런 악독한 공산주의자로 낙인찍힌자의 아들이 대한민국 정당의 원내총무를 하고 있다니....아버지의 잘못을 반성하고, 국정에 충실히 임한다면 그나마 국민들의 응원을 받을텐데..... 하는짓이라고는 입만열면 정부비난이고, 북한체제 찬양을 담은 첩자같은 말이나 내뱉고.... 이러한 현실이 조국 대한민국에서 매일같이 일어나고 있다.

A diplomat at the North Korean embassy in London has defected to another country, BBC News understands.
The diplomat left the embassy, based in Ealing, west London, earlier this month for a "third country", reports in the South Korean media say.
The diplomat reportedly lived in the UK for 10 years with his wife and family, the BBC's diplomatic correspondent James Robbins said.
Neither the Foreign Office nor the embassy has commented.
Calls about the issue have not been answered at the Embassy of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), which is the North Korean embassy's official title.
"A DPRK diplomat in London is going through procedures to seek asylum in a third country," a report in the South Korean daily newspaper JoongAng Ilbo said.
"The DPRK Embassy made belated attempts to figure out the diplomat's whereabouts, but has failed," the paper's report added, citing an anonymous source.
The paper said that in this context "a third country" means one which is not either North or South Korea.
'Prove valuable'
"A high-level defection, if confirmed, will be deeply embarrassing for the regime," said John Nilsson-Wright, an expert on Asian affairs at the London-based Chatham House think tank.
"London has always been an important diplomatic priority for the DPRK given the amount of personnel stationed there and the considerable resources devoted by the regime to maintaining its presence there," he added.
"The intelligence benefits to the UK and its allies from such a defection are likely to prove valuable."

North Korea has an embassy in west London. The diplomats there can be charming, particularly over curry at their favourite curry house. Their children are in nearby state schools and one is a stalwart of the local tennis club.
The other side of their lives, though, involves keeping tabs on North Korean defectors who often settle in New Malden in south-west London.
Two of the officials were probably the men who turned up at a barber shop in London to object to a picture in the window of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, with the caption "bad hair day".
They are also thought to have escorted Kim Jong-un's brother to an Eric Clapton concert in the Albert Hall.
