병상의 Tiger Woods는 PGA출전 선수들의 영원한 동반자요 친구였다. 모두가 빨간 T-Shirt, 검정바지입고, 쾌유를 빌었다.

 Tiger Woods: Rory McIlroy와 Phil Mickelson는 병상에 있는 골퍼를 진정으로 도와주면서 전적으로응원하는 참다운 모습을 보여 주었다. 

 Tiger Woods가 뜻하지 않은 자동차 사고로 오른쪽 다리가 부러져서, 철심을 박고 회복중에 있는데, PGA Championship 경기를 하면서, 참가 선수들 모두가 Tiger Woods의 상징 유니폼인 빨간 티셔츠에 검정바지를 입고 플레이를 마쳤다는 정겨운 뉴스에 동료골퍼들의 우애가 이렇게 큰줄은 미쳐 몰랐었다는 뉴스였다.

G80 SUV를 운전하다 사고가 났었다는 뉴스가 전세계로 타전됐을때, 모두가 경악을 금치 못했었다. 무사해야 할텐데....라면서.  고속도로의 Median Barrier를 들이받고 엔진룸이 완전히 박살났지만, 차안의 모든 시설은 거의 그대로 유지돼고 있어, 오히려 G80 SUV의 견고함을 광고해준 셈이 되긴 했었지만..

 Tiger Woods가 병상에서, 많은 남녀골퍼들이 일요일 최종 라운드에서, 그의 퀘유를 응원하는 뜻으로 입은 유니폼을 본후에 진심어린 감사의 뜻을 보냈다고 한다.  전직 월드 챔피언이었던 Rory McIlroy도 빨간 티셔츠와 검정 바지를 입은 선수들중의 한명이었었다. - 이색상의 유니폼은 "타이거우드"가 최종라운드에서 항상 입고 플레이 했었던 고유의상 색갈로 인식되여 있다.

메이저 경기에서 15번이나 우승했었던 45세의 타이거는 지난주 화요일에 발생했던 차전복사고에서 입었던 다리 부상에서 현재 수술을 마치고 회복중에 있는 중이다.  

"병상에서 내가  TV를 켰을때 선수들의 빨간티셔츠와 검정바지 복장을 보면서 내가 느꼈던 감정을 자세히 표현하기가 무척 어려울정도로 내마음을 움직이게 해서, 울컥하게 했었다"라고  tweeted에서 표현하고 있었다.

"모든 출전 선수들과 모든 팬들은 정말로 어렵게 회복을 하고 있는 나를 진정으로 도와줌에 감사한 마음이다"라고.  

McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood, Patrick Reed 그리고 Tony Finau는, 플로리다에서 개최됐었던 WGC-Workday Championship 경기하면서 빨강티와 검정 바지를 입고 경기에 임했었던 많은 선수들중에 포함된 일행이었다. 이경기의 챔피언은 미국출신 Collin Morikawa선수였다.  Phil Mickelson역시 아리조나주에서 있었던  PGA Tour Champion에서 같은 복장을 했었고,  LPGA's Gainbridge Championship에 출전했던 Annika Sorenstam역시 같은 색상의 복장을 했었다.

"우리가 모두 나서서 그렇게 제스처를 한것은, 우리 모두가 그를 생각하고 있으며, 우리는 그와 같은 뿌리를 갖고 있다는것을 타이거에게 할려주려는 거였어요."라고  31살의  McIlroy이가 설명했었다.

"오늘은 지난주 화요일 사고가 난날보다 조금은 더 좋아진것 같았어요. 그렇치만 그는 아직도 회복을 하기위해 가야할길이 멀잖아요"

"골프에서 '타이거우드'가 없었다면, 내생각으로는 전반적으로 골프게임과 골프투어는 재미가 없는 차거운 느낌뿐이었을 것입니다.  그는 우리에게 너무도 많은 의미이며, 또한 그는 우리에게 너무도 많은 의미가 있거든요."

 Bradenton에서 개최됐던  Concession게임에서  Morikawa 의 승리는, 25살이 채되기도전에 타이거가 WGC타이틀과  메이져 대회에서 타이틀을 거머쥔 플레이어 였었다는 점을 다시 회고해볼수 있게 했었다고 했다. 

"타이거는 저에게는 우상같습니다. 제생각으로는 그에게 '탱큐'라는 표현은 충분치 않다고 생각해요. 그래서 저는 말합니다 "고마워 타이거"라고.  타이거는 회복되기 까지는 장기간이 필요하지만, 사고가 난 곳으로 부터, 금요일, 치료를 받기위해  Los Angeles의 병원으로 옮겨지긴 했지만, 정신적으로는 더 안정된 상태에 있다는 보도가 있었다. ( reported to be "in good spirits). 

 타이거는 그의 5번째 허리수술을 받고 회복중에 있었던 것이다. 그리고 오늘 4월에 열리는  Masters에서 플레이 할수있게 되기를 희망했었다.

PGA에서 뛰는 선수들의 동료애, 고통을 Share하는 그정신은 우리 모두가 본받아야할 귀감이 되고도 남는것으로, 많은 감동을 줬다.  그의 쾌유를 빌고, 그가 다시 골프장에서 시원하게 샷을 날리는 모습을 보고 싶다.

Tiger Woods expressed his gratitude after seeing several male and female golfers show their support on Sunday.

Former world number one Rory McIlroy was among those who wore red and black - the colours Woods is known for wearing in the tournament final rounds.

The 15-time major winner, 45, is recovering from leg injuries sustained in a car accident last Tuesday.

"It is hard to explain how touching today was when I turned on the TV and saw all the red shirts," Woods tweeted.

"To every golfer and every fan, you are truly helping me get through this tough time."

McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood, Patrick Reed and Tony Finau were among those who wore red and black while competing at the WGC-Workday Championship in Florida, which was won by USA's Collin Morikawa.

Phil Mickelson did the same at a PGA Tour Champions event in Arizona, as did Annika 

Sorenstam at the LPGA's Gainbridge Championship.

"I guess for us it's just a gesture to let him know that we're thinking about him and we're rooting for him," said McIlroy, 31.

"Things are looking a little better today than they were on Tuesday, but he's still got a ways to go.

"If there was no Tiger Woods, I just think the tour and the game of golf in general would be in a worse place. He's meant a lot to us; he still does mean a lot to us."

Morikawa's victory at The Concession in Bradenton saw him join Woods as the only players to win both a major and the WGC title before turning 25.

"Tiger means everything to me," said Morikawa, 24. "I don't think we say thank you enough, so I want to say thank you to Tiger."

Woods faces a long period of recovery but was reported to be "in good spirits" after being moved to a new Los Angeles hospital for treatment on Friday.

He was already recovering from his fifth back surgery and hoped to be able to compete at the Masters in April.

Tiger Woods 플로리다주에서 음주운전으로 경찰에 적발. 몇시간후 풀려났지만....

Tiger Woods가 오늘 새벽, 음주운전으로 플로리다주, Palm Beach County에서 경찰에 적발 붙잡혔다는 뉴스가 전세계를 휩쓸고 있다.  언론은 그의 사진을 보기 흉칙할 정도로 이상한 각도에서 촬영하여 보도하고 있는데, 그가 Tiger Woods가 아닌 보통 사람이었다면, 사진으로 봐서는 흉칙한 강도범쯤으로 상상하기에 충분한 사진으로 보였다.  유명세를 타는것도 좋지만..... 글쎄다.    그가  보통 평범한 신분으로  경찰에 붙잡혔다면, 술이 깰때까지 감금시켰다가 벌금물고 점수먹고 조용히 풀려났을텐데..... 그래서 보통사람의 삶이 가장 행복한줄 다시한번 기억하게 하는 뉴스였다.  그렇게 자위해본다.  CNN과 BBC의 보도내용을 읽어봤다.

골프황제 Tiger Woods가 플로리다주에서 음주운전으로, 오늘 새벽에 경찰에 적발됐다라고 경찰이 발표했다.

경찰은 현지시간으로 오늘 새벽 7시 18분경에 절발되여 감금됐다고 기록됐다. Tiger Woods는 몇시간뒤에  풀려났다라고 Palm Beach군의 경찰기록이 밝히고 있다.  그는 Jupiter, Florida에서 현지시간으로 오전 3시경에 경찰에 붙잡혔다고 현지 뉴스가 보도했다. 그는 일체 함구하고 있고, 언론의 질문에 입을 꼭 다물고 있었다.  붙잡힌 이유는 그가 음주운전으로 간주되는 벌칙을 범했다라고 기록은 밝히고 있다.

피검사에서 알코홀 농도가 높게 나와 몇시간 후에, 그는 유명한 골퍼인것이 확인되여 풀려날수 있었다고 발표했는데, 이후의 법적인 조사에서 잘협조하겠다는 서약서를 자필서명한후 풀려난것임을 뜻한다.
41세의 그는 허리부상으로 수술을 받고 현재 회복중에 있으며 지난 5월24일에 그는 그의 블로그에서 거의 건강상태에 대해 언급하기도 했었다.

이수술로 허리의 통증이 많이 완화됐으며, 지나 몇년동안 심한 통증을 느껴왔었는데, "지금은 이이상 더 좋은 상태일수가 없을 정도로 좋아졌다"라고.  그는 또한 앞으로 골프시합에 합류할수 있을것으로 기대를 갖고 있지만, 급하게 서둘지는 않겠다라고 언급하기도 했었다.

"나는 계속해서 프로골퍼로 시합에 출전하기를 원하고 있지만, 당장에 가능하다고는 기대하지 않는다.  자칮잘못하여 또다시 몇개월 동안 허우적 거리면서 시간을 허지할수만은 없다. 지금은 오직 건강회복에만 매진하고 있으며 담당의사가 지시하는데로만 행동하고 있는 중이다. 조속히 회복될수 있도록 그쪽으로만 총력을 기울이고 있다" 라고 언급했었다.

미국에서 열렸던 Major 챔피언을 14번이나 석권했던 그는 부상으로 15개월을 쉰후 지난 12월에 출전했었으나, 지난 2월에 허리 부상이 재발하여 경기에 참석을 못하고 있는 중이다.  첫번째 마스터스 챔피언쉽을 거머쥔후 20년이 되는 지난 4월에 Augusta에서 개최된 챔피언쉽에 참가할 계획을 세웠었지만 그만 그계획을 접어야만 했었다.

Tiger Woods는 2013년 이후로 챔피언 등극을 한적이 없다. 한편 2008년에 획득한 Major 챔피언쉽을 우승한이후 전무한 상태이다.

The picture will haunt him throughout these proceedings and beyond. This is someone who has put back together his public life after that epic fall from grace with all the news of the extramarital affairs that broke in 2009.

What we gather from someone who has a jealously guarded lifestyle in terms of his privacy is he spends most of his time playing computer games. We know he speaks glowingly about being a father and looking after his children. 

He's divorced and shares custody of his children and that's pretty much all we know of Tiger Woods' lifestyle at the moment, other than he says he wants to return to professional golf once this recovery has been completed.

Does golf need him as much as it once did? Perhaps not. A whole generation of golfers, with Rory McIlroy at the vanguard, have now come through. But Woods remains a huge box-office draw. Golf has suffered in his absence in recent years but it is getting used to the fact that he's unlikely to come back right at the very top of the game.

This is not Woods' first high-profile mishap. In November 2009, the golfer was taken to a hospital after he was injured in a car accident in front of his Orlando, Florida, home. The episode mushroomed into a scandal in the days afterward when it became public that Woods had been unfaithful to his then-wife, Elin Nordegren. 

Woods took a break from professional golf and later apologized for having extramarital affairs and for letting down both his fans and his family. Woods and Nordegren were divorced in 2010.
