세상은 살만한 사회적 분위기가 엉뚱한 곳에서 보게된다. 세상에 sushi를 스페셜 가격에 먹기위해 자유중국의 한 레스토랑에서, 손님들에게 요청하기를 이름을 "Salmon"으로 바꾼 신분증을 제시하면 아주 싼값에 제공한다라는 광고에 여러명이 호적 등기소를 방문하여 이름을 바꾸었는데, 호적등기소 직원들은 그런것 때문에 이름을 바꾸는 짖을 하지 말라고 당부까지 하고 있다는데....
sushi를 스폐셜 가격으로 먹게 해준다는 홍보에 빠져들어, 부모들이 작명해준 이름을 "Salmon"으로 바꾼 사람들의 생각은 과연 어떤것이었을까? 재미로? 정말로 수시를 싼값에 먹고싶어서? 암튼 요즘의 젊은 세대들의 발상은 상상을 초월한다.
현재까지 수십명의 타이완인들은 " salmon"으로 바꾸었는데, 스폐셜 딜의 혜택을 보고 있단다.
식당주인은 "맘껏 억을수있는 스페셜 딜"을 즐길수 있게 하기위해서, "salmon" 또는 "Gui Yu"로 바꾼 신분증을 제시 해야한다 라고 단서를 부쳤다. 이름을 바꾸기위해 담당 공무원들이 바빠져, 괜히 시간낭비라고 불평이다.
이번 스페셜딜은, 체인점 수시레스토랑, Akindo Sushiro이 설명하기를 중국어로 그들의 이름이 표현되는 경우는 친구를 포함하여 5명까지 무료로 수시를 즐길수 있다고 설명한다. 이름을 바꾸기위해서는 행정비 약 3불을 지불하고 새로운 증명서를 발급받는다.
뉴스미디아의 보도에 따르면 Taichung시에 거주하는 한 학생은 그녀의 이름을 " Kuo Salmon Rice Bowl "로 바꾸고 나서 스페셜딜을 즐겼는데, 내일은 다시 원래의 이름으로 바꿀것이라고 했다.
salmon의 뜻이 들어있는 또 다른 이름들은 "Salmon Prince," "Meteor Salmon King" 그리고 "Salmon Fried Rice"들이 대부분이었다고 AFP자매 미디아들이 보도 했다고 한다.
또다른 두친구들은 식당에 들려 약 $460달러(타이완돈 13,000) 상당의 수시 스페셜딜을 즐겼는데, 그후에 한다는 소리가 "앞으로 상당기간동안 우리는 salmon수시는 입에 대지도 않을 것이다"라고 소감을 피력했다. 내무부차관, Chen Tsung-yen씨는 이름을 바꾸는짖은 시간낭비이며, 종이를 낭비하는 일이기도 하다고 충고한다. "사람들이 합리적으로 사고하기를 희망한다"라고 충고한다.
호적에 관련 공무원들은 이름 바꾸는것은 일생동안에 단 3번만 허용되고 있다는것을 기억하고 있으라고 충고한다.
Dozens of people in Taiwan have changed their names to "salmon" to take advantage of a restaurant's sushi promotion deal.
Officials have issued a plea asking people to stop visiting government offices to request the name change, according to local media.
The restaurant offered an all-you-can-eat sushi meal to anyone with the name Gui Yu or "salmon" on their ID card.
Unimpressed officials said the rush was wasting government time.
The offer began on Tuesday when sushi restaurant chain Akindo Sushiro said anyone with the Chinese characters in their name could get free food for themselves and five friends.
It led to dozens of people requesting a name change, the Taipei Times reported, adding that applicants pay around $3 (NT$80) for a new ID card and a registration certificate.
According to the newspaper, one student in Taichung said she had changed her name to "Kuo Salmon Rice Bowl" but planned to change it back the next day.
Other salmon-themed names included "Salmon Prince," "Meteor Salmon King" and "Salmon Fried Rice", according to AFP news agency.
Two others managed to eat around $460 (NT$13,000) of sushi in one go and posted online: "I do not think we will want to eat salmon again for a while."
But Deputy Interior Minister Chen Tsung-yen said that the name-changing was wasting time and creating unnecessary paperwork.
"I hope everyone can be more rational about it," he added.
Officials also issued a reminder that names can only be changed legally three times.
