아래는 Fox뉴스가  독점적으로 취재한, Nancy Pelosi의 "하와이 휴가"를 보도하고, 이를 확인차 그녀의 사무실에 전화 문의 했는데, 아직까지 답변이 없다고 했다.  며칠전에는 백악관 Oval Office에서 트럼프 대통령과 민주당의 Nancy Pelosi, 하원대표와 Chuck Shumer, 민주당  상원대표가 국경 장벽을 세우는데 필요한 예산을 놓고 설전을 했었다.  그랬던 그녀가 지금 하와이에서 태평스럽게 SunTan을 하고 있단다.  그렇게 미국을 위한척 하던 그녀가, 의회가 휴가에 들어가자마자 민주당을 대표하는 그녀가 국사를 내팽개치고,그곳으로 날아간 것이다.

House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi is spending the holidays vacationing in Hawaii, as a partial government shutdown grinds on with no resolution in sight.

Fox News has confirmed that Pelosi, the House speaker-designate, is vacationing in Kona, Hawaii, and was seen there Thursday as well as Friday morning. Pelosi’s office on Friday did not return requests for comment about her whereabouts.

 아래는 CNN의 같은날 Nancy Pelosi에 대한 뉴스보도다.  어쩌면 같은 내용인데, 간단하게 의회는 내년초까지 휴회에 들어갔다라는 내용뿐이다. 그기간 동안에 대통령은 미국,멕시코 국경을 Shut down시킬것까지 고려중이고, 대통령은 크리스마스 휴가와 신년휴가도 없이 백악관에서 국경장벽 예산에 대한 좋은 소식을 민주당으로 부터 올것을 초조히 기다리고 있는중인데....

입으로는 미국을, 민주당의 다음 하원 Speaker로 중책을 맡을 그녀가, 국경장벽 예산을 들었다 놨다 할것처럼 했던 그녀였는데, 의회가 휴회에들어가자마자 바로 하와이 휴양지로 날아가 Suntan 하고 있는 그녀와 민주당이 대통령에 대한 비난을 퍼붓더니... 마치 한국의 민주당 패거리들의 입과행동이 완전히 따로 놀고있는 그이중성과 하나도 다를바 없음에 비애를 느낀다. 아무리 트럼프 대통령과 Enemy관계라고는 하지만 공정한 보도 정신이 투철하다면, CNN은 Nancy Pelosi의 하와이 휴가에 대한 보도를 했어야 했다.

CNN이 Nancy Pelosi의 하와이 휴양지에서 휴가를 즐기는 행방에 대해 모를리가 없을 테지만, 예산 협상교착상태로, 정부를 Shut down까지 시키면서 대통령은 노심초사하는데 말이다.  언론은 어느쪽에도 치우치지않고, 사실을 보도해야 하는데, 그녀가 현재 Hawaii에서 Suntan을 즐기면서 휴가를 하고 있다고 보도했어야 했다. 보는 각도에 따라 Focus가 다를수 있다고 할수 있지만, 그것은 사상적으로 더 깊이 들어갔을때의 얘기다. CNN에 실망이다.

The House and Senate adjourned Thursday after brief pro forma sessions and made plans to reconvene Monday, signaling that the partial shutdown will last through the new year. The President had intended to spend 16 days at Mar-a-Lago, including for Christmas, but canceled his plans to stay in Washington over the holiday.

On Twitter, Trump has blamed Democrats for the partial shutdown, which is now on its seventh day. He also pointed to the recent killing of a California police officer, allegedly by a suspect who's in the country illegally, to bolster his push for more border wall funds.

Friday morning, Trump tweeted that the US "will be forced to close the Southern Border entirely if the Obstructionist Democrats do not give us the money to finish the Wall."

Asked if the President is willing to go as far as closing the US-Mexico border, Mulvaney told Fox News, "I think he is."

Mulvaney accused House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi of stalling negotiations.

"She cannot be seen by her party as being weak on negotiating with Donald Trump," Mulvaney said on Fox News. "So we fully expected that until she's elected speaker and has locked that vote up, we don't expect to hear from the Democrats again."

The vote for House speaker is on January 3, 2019, and Pelosi will need to win a majority of the full House if all members vote to reclaim the speakership.
